ZoDF courts British Support

Dr. Arafat Sulemana Abdulai, Chief Executive Officer, Zongo Development Fund (ZoDF), has urged the British High Commission (BHC) to partner the Fund in accelerating development in Zongo Communities.
Leading a high-powered delegation to an official meeting at the BHC’s office in Accra, last Friday, Dr. Abdulai recounted the impact of ZoDF’s interventions in Education, Water, Sanitation, Infrastructure and Community Social Centres (CSSCs), among others, in Zongos.
Mr. Paul Edwards, Northern Region attaché, conveyed the readiness of the BHC to provide information and access to the ZoDF on institutions and organizations that provide educational opportunities for students from deprived communities. He commended the ZoDF for the Educational Grant Programme through which the Fund disburses financial support to indigent students pursuing tertiary education.
The meeting also discussed further areas of collaboration in Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution; effective engagement with stakeholders in Zongos and environmentally friendly programmes and projects.
Other officials at the meeting were; Alhaji Baba Sadiq Yakubu, deputy CEO (operations); Ms. Aisha Sissy, Executive Secretary; Ahmed Ayuba, Corporate Affairs & PR; Mr. Thomas Baah-Lartey, Administration and Mr. Haruna Mohammed, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation.
Mr. Abraham Agoni, Political Officer (Northern Ghana), and Ms. Hamdalatu Yahaya, Administrative Support Officer of the BHC were part of the meeting.
The meeting is a step further in efforts led by Dr. Abdulai to seek cooperation, support and collaboration with varied stakeholders, institutions, and organisations in expanding the capacity of ZoDF to deliver on its mandate.
