Sisaala East Mourns the Loss of Professor Selanwiah Abdul-Mumin in Tragic Accident
The Sisaala East community has been plunged into mourning following the untimely death of Professor Selanwiah Abdul-Mumin, the principal of Tumu College of Education and a cherished academic leader. The tragic accident occurred on the Navorongo-Tumu road near Basisan as he was traveling from Navrongo to Tumu.
The collision involved a tipper truck with registration number GT-485-24 and a Nissan pickup, GV-27-16, driven by the professor himself. Witnesses described the crash as devastating, with both vehicles suffering extensive damage. Despite swift rescue efforts, Professor Abdul-Mumin sadly passed away at the scene.

As the principal of Tumu College of Education, Professor Abdul-Mumin was a pillar of the academic community, deeply respected for his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to education. His sudden death has left the entire region in shock and disbelief.

“He wasn’t just our principal; he was a father figure to many of us,” one of his former students said, holding back tears. “He inspired us to strive for excellence not only in academics but in life.”
