Sissala East Police Commander Celebrates Birthday with Pupils of Rise and Shine School

Birthdays are often moments of joy, reflection, and gratitude and for ASP Johnson Poku-Adusei, the Sissala East Municipal Police Commander, it was an opportunity to give back to the community he serves.

The police commander marked his birthday in a heartwarming celebration with pupils of Rise and Shine School, a private basic school in Tumu, the municipal capital. Accompanied by his family, friends, and colleagues, ASP Poku-Adusei treated the children to cooked meals, drinks, sweets, and other delightful gifts.

During his interaction with the pupils, he encouraged them to take their studies seriously, reminding them that education is the surest path to becoming responsible and successful citizens. He assured the school of his continuous support, saying his gesture was only the beginning of a long-term relationship aimed at motivating young learners.

“I have adopted this school and will do my best to support it whenever I can,” he said, emphasizing his commitment to education and youth development in the municipality.

Though ASP Poku-Adusei has served in the Sissala East Municipality for less than a year, his impact is already widely recognized. His leadership style, marked by openness and community engagement, has strengthened the relationship between the police and residents.

He has been active on local radio, particularly Radford FM, educating the public on security awareness and the importance of collaboration between citizens and the police in fighting crime. Beyond the airwaves, he frequently engages market women, queen mothers, traditional authorities, and drivers, all in an effort to build trust and foster mutual understanding.

ASP Poku-Adusei reiterated that the police are friends of the community and urged residents to freely share information that could help prevent or solve crime.

His birthday celebration was more than a personal milestone, it was a reminder that leadership and service go hand in hand, and that small acts of kindness can go a long way in shaping the next generation.
