Hon. Marifah Alhassan Huaru (Alla) Elected Presiding Member of Sissala East
The Sissala East Municipal Assembly has elected Hon. Marifah Alhassan Huaru, affectionately known as Alla, as its new Presiding Member, following a successful vote on the Assembly floor
Out of a total of 31 ballots cast, 29 Assembly Members voted YES, giving him a resounding endorsement. One voted NO, and one ballot was rejected. This gives him a strong confirmation rate of 93.55%, reflecting broad consensus and trust among his colleagues.
Hon. Alla’s election is being hailed as a positive step forward for the Assembly, with members expressing optimism about his leadership style and experience. Known for his calm demeanor and sense of fairness, many believe he’s the right person to guide the Assembly in its deliberations and development-focused agenda.
His election marks a new chapter for the Sissala East Municipal Assembly, with expectations high for inclusive leadership and improved collaboration between members.
