TUCE Demonstration JHS Girls Inspired to Reach New Heights on International Women’s Day
The TUCE Women’s Commission today celebrated International Women’s Day with 80 young girls from the TUCE Demonstration Junior High School in Tumu. The theme of the event, “SHE CAN,” resonated deeply with the students, who were inspired by a motivational speech from guest speaker, Rt. Hon. Wira Luri.
The event aimed to promote self-belief, confidence, and academic excellence among the girls. To reinforce this message, the overall best student in the JHS was awarded books, a math set, and pens, while five average students were selected for mentorship to support their academic growth.
In a symbolic gesture, each of the 80 girls received a sweet, representing the sweetness and brightness of their future if they held on to the empowering belief that “SHE CAN!”
This initiative is part of the TUCE Women’s Commission’s efforts to create a supportive environment that encourages girls to reach their full potential.
