Mobile money vendor killed by armed robbers in Krofrom
A young lady identified as Patricia Nimako, believed to be in her early 30s, has been shot and killed by armed robbers at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 13, at approximately 3:00 PM, while she was conducting business at her mobile money shop.
According to an eyewitness, Nana Yaw, the robbers approached from behind the shop, brandishing a firearm, and demanded money.
He said the robbers shot her twice and fled with her cash. She was quickly rushed to Manhyia Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Assembly Member for the Odumase-CPC Electoral Area, Isaac Owusu confirmed the incident.
“Some guys came to her shop and went behind her door, where she passed to enter the container. And what they heard was a gunshot. They took money from here and sped off with the motorbike. She was robbed and killed.”
