Virtue Foundation Donates Anesthesia Machine to Sissala East Municipal Hospital
The Sissala East Municipal Hospital has been facing a series of challenges over the years, from frequent power fluctuations to a malfunctioning X-ray machine and a shortage of essential medical equipment. These issues have made it difficult for the hospital to provide the best possible care to patients, despite its continuous efforts to find solutions.
However, relief has come through the Virtue Foundation, which has stepped in with a much-needed donation. The foundation, through its Country Director, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Sissala East, Hon. Mohammed Issah Bataglia, has donated a brand-new anesthesia machine along with other vital medical supplies to the hospital.
During the presentation, Hon. Bataglia urged the hospital’s management to ensure the proper care and maintenance of the equipment, emphasizing that the donation was worth millions of Ghana cedis. He further revealed that similar donations had already been made to the Upper West Regional Hospital, and more support would soon be extended to the Sissala East Municipal Health Directorate. The upcoming donation, he explained, would be distributed to selected health centers and CHPS compounds across the municipality to improve healthcare access in underserved communities.

Speaking on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Woods, the Municipal Medical Director, expressed deep appreciation to the Virtue Foundation and Hon. Bataglia for their timely intervention. He assured the MP that the donated items would be put to good use, benefiting patients and strengthening healthcare delivery in the area. The donation was received with gratitude by hospital staff, who acknowledged the significant impact it would have on their daily operations.

This kind gesture by the Virtue Foundation marks a major step forward in addressing some of the pressing healthcare challenges in the Sissala East Municipality. With more of such initiatives, the future of quality healthcare in the region looks promising.
