Khard Global donates sports kits to Sisaala East Education Directorate ahead of Inter-circuit games

Khard Global Limited, through its Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Ridwan Abass Dauda, has donated sportswear and jerseys to the Ghana Education Service to support the municipality’s participation in the upcoming inter-circuit sports competition scheduled to take place this weekend at Challu in the Upper West Region.

The donation, presented at the forecourt of the Municipal Education Office in Tumu, included 81 pieces of long tracksuits and T-shirts for officials, as well as nine sets of 20 jerseys each for the nine educational circuits participating in the competition.

Hon. Ridwan, who is also the former Member of Parliament for the Sissala East Constituency, said the gesture formed part of his continued commitment to promoting education and sports development in the municipality.

He further pledged to provide complete sets of jerseys for all sporting disciplines and officials should the municipality qualify for the inter-district competition.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Municipal Directorate, Mr. Charles Lewil expressed gratitude to Hon. Ridwan for what he described as a generous and timely intervention.

He said the Directorate had already completed about half of its preparations for the inter-circuit games, and the donation had significantly boosted efforts toward a successful participation.

Mr. Lewil recalled that during the 2025 inter-district sports competition in Wa, Hon. Ridwan similarly provided jerseys and official wear for the contingent, which helped the municipality stand out among participating districts.

He noted that the unique attire gave the team a distinct identity and enhanced their visibility throughout the competition.

Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Directors of Education, including Hon. Gobik and Hon. Samuel, the Municipal Sports Coordinator, Mr. Tahiru Jingaaru, the Municipal Accountant, all nine Circuit Supervisors, and other staff members of the Directorate.

The inter-circuit sporting event is expected to bring together pupils and officials from all circuits in the municipality to compete in various sporting disciplines.
