Suspected Fuel Smuggling Foiled on Kassaa Road; Police Seize 102 Gallons

Radford FM can confirm that the Tumu Police Command has intercepted a suspected fuel-smuggling operation involving 102 gallons of petrol, 31 empty gallons, and three unregistered tricycles allegedly destined for Burkina Faso.

The operation occurred at about 4:30 a.m. today along the Kassaa road in the Sisaala East Municipality. According to police sources, the items were seized during a dawn operation led by the Tumu Municipal Police Commander, ASP Johnson Adusei Poku.

Three individuals, all believed to be Burkinabè nationals, were arrested in connection with the incident. They have been identified as Idrrisu Bozoh, 38; Fatawu Jackson Yahaya, 30; and Yussif Jakso Yahaya, 18.

The suspects are alleged to have been transporting the fuel and related items across the border when they were intercepted.

Police say this is the only verified information available at the moment, and further updates will be provided as investigations continue.
