Defending Champions Soccer Babies FC Begin 2025 League Campaign with 4–1 Rout of Malima FC
Defending champions Soccer Babies FC began their 2025 Division II League campaign in an electrifying fashion, thrashing Malima FC 4–1 in Tumu earlier today. The victory was a statement of intent from the reigning Zone 3 winners, who appear ready to defend their title and return to the Middle League once again.
The scoring started early when Babui Mama Wavei Eddy curled a stunning free kick into the net in the 9th minute, giving Soccer Babies the lead. Just three minutes later, Sumaila Fuseini struck from around the center, catching the Malima goalkeeper off guard and doubling the advantage in the 12th minute.

In the 40th minute, Mohammed Salifu Baluwie showcased brilliant dribbling skills inside the 18-yard box to score the third goal. Early in the second half, Nurideen Jualuri added the fourth goal in the 50th minute, effectively putting the game beyond Malima’s reach.
Malima eventually pulled one back through Ibrahim in the 68th minute, but it was far too late to mount a comeback, as Soccer Babies had already dominated the match.

All four goals by Soccer Babies came before Malima could respond, highlighting the champions’ clinical finishing, sharp coordination, and relentless attacking play. Fans at the Tumu Astro Turf were treated to an exciting display of skill, teamwork, and determination from the home side.
With this emphatic start, Soccer Babies FC sends a clear warning to other contenders that they are determined to defend their title and continue their quest for promotion.
