Sisaala Council of Chiefs Mourns Loss of Eight in Helicopter Crash

The Sisaala Council of Chiefs has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight gallant Ghanaians, including government officials and military personnel, while on duty.

In a press release dated August 13, 2025, and signed by Kuoro Abu Diaka Sukabe Ninia V, Paramount Chief of Zini and Interim PRO/Secretary of the Council, the chiefs and people of the Sisaala area conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Presidency, the people of Ghana, and the bereaved families.

The statement described the deceased as irreplaceable sons of the nation whose patriotism, dedication, and sacrifice should continue to inspire generations.

“We have lost eight irreplaceable sons of Ghana. However, it is obvious their sacrifice to the nation is a legacy that will find the recognition it deserves in the sight of the Almighty,” the release stated.

The Council called on Ghanaians to offer full support and prayers to the bereaved families and the government during this difficult time. They also prayed for God’s comfort for the families and eternal rest for the souls of the departed.

“MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE,” the release concluded.
