Soccer Babies FC Clinch Middle League Spot After Dominant Run in UWRFA Division II Zone Three

Tumu-based side Soccer Babies FC have booked a well-deserved ticket to the Middle League after a phenomenal showing in the just-ended Match Day 18 of the Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) 2024/25 Division II League – Zone Three.

The Babies topped the zone in style, finishing with 36 points from 16 matches – winning 11, drawing 3, and losing just 2. Their 38 goals scored and only 15 conceded earned them a remarkable +23 goal difference, easily the best in the zone.

Joining them in the Middle League is fellow Tumu-based team, Real 24 Hours FC, who secured second place with 30 points. Their consistency paid off, with 8 wins, 6 draws, and only 2 losses, backed by a solid goal difference of +16.

Despite putting up a spirited fight, Kowie Eva Stars, based in Kowie, fell short with 26 points, placing third. Their journey ends here for now, along with other resilient sides like Kong Danger Stars from Kong, Hilla Stars from Gwollu, Gandawi Stars from Pulima, Kpunjinang FC and Kulfuo Dreams FC from Kulfuo, and Malima FC from Bugubelle.

Zone Three has proven to be a highly competitive group, representing the diversity and vibrancy of grassroots football in the Upper West Region. The dominance of Soccer Babies FC is not only highlights the depth of talent in Tumu, but also sets the tone for what promises to be a thrilling Middle League campaign.

As the next phase approaches, all eyes will be on these two Tumu powerhouses to see if they can carry their fine form forward and secure promotion to Ghana’s Division One League.
