FC Barcelona win 15th Spanish Super Cup
FC Barcelona has solidified its position as a powerhouse in Spanish football, claiming their 15th Spanish Super Cup title with a commanding performance.
The blaugranes demonstrated their dominance in the tournament, defeating Athletic Club in the semi-final before securing a 5-2 victory over arch-rivals Real Madrid to claim the first silverware in the 2024/25 season.
The victory reinforces Barcelona’s legacy in the competition as the most successful club in its history.
The team’s impressive displays highlighted their tactical brilliance and resilience, earning them yet another prestigious trophy to add to their illustrious collection.
Two great Clásicos this season
Barça take the title for the first time since 2022/23 with Xavi Hernández as coach when they beat Real Madrid 3-1 in the final. Last season, they lost out to Carlo Ancelotti’s team, but in the league this season Hansi Flick’s team took a 4-0 win in the Santiago Bernabéu. This second win in the Clásico brings with it a trophy.
