I will construct 12 seater bio-gas places to eliminate open defecation – Kuoru Nmasi VI

The Chief of Dasima, Kuoru Nmasi Huaru Batong VI has announce plans to construct 12-seater bio-gas places to eliminate open defecation in the community. He said this while appealing to members of his community to be conscious about sanitation. “I would on this note, Mr. Chairman, like to appeal to my community members to be conscious about matters of sanitation. Let us keep our surroundings clean in order to prevent diseases to improve upon our health. Let us to eliminate open defecation from our community. To support this initiative, I intend to construct twelve-seater bio-gas places of convenience for the various sections of the community”, he said.
Also, in giving his welcome address during the 2nd edition of the ‘Niibla Cherime’ Festival on February 24, 2024, the Kuoru has announced modest developments initiated by the community in Dasima. Some were a maternity ward, attached to the CHPS compound, was constructed in the field of health, with ongoing rehabilitation works on Dasima Basic school block and provision of one hundred dual desks for two hundred pupils.

On security, he acknowledged and expressed his gratitude to the Regional Security Council and the District Security for their collaboration in removing Fulani herdsmen, who were posing a security threat to the Council, while emphasizing the importance of vigilance to prevent future influxes of herdsmen.
Giving his remarks on the theme: “Harnessing Our Resources and Talents for Integral Development through Culture”, Kuoru Nmasi Huaru Batong VI highlighted the potential of culture as an effective tool for development, stating, “Culture is what gives us our unique identity as a people, uniting us together and giving us a sense of purpose and direction.”

On Community Unity and Development, the traditional leader has passionately appealed to citizens of Dasima living outside the community to actively participate in supporting the development efforts. He has also sought attention to the extension of the Dasima dam for year-round water supply.
On roads, he has appealed to the Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, and Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu to address the road challenges faced by farmers, especially during the rainy season.
