SISAALA ZONE DFA CONGRESS AHEAD OF THE 2024/2025 SEASON

The Sisaala zone district football association held its first Congress at the municipal assembly conference hall today 20th October, 2024. The chairman Hon Osman Kajia thanked all the clubs executives and stakeholders that were present for leaving their busy schedules to be part of the meeting. He used the opportunity to educate the newcomers the perimeters of the DFA in the district. Hon Kajia enlightened that their office is responsible for Division III league, juvenile football, colts football and women football in the district. The Exco members were introduced to the house and the chairman elaborated on their achievements in their first year in the district. The first amongst them was the establishment of the DFA office along the Pulima road in collaboration with the six clubs that participated in the first Division III league.

The office also got certificates and links for all the six clubs to participate in the league. Also two teams from the six, Soccer Babies and Kulfuo Dreams have been promoted to the Division II League. Four new clubs (Lipcity fc, Tumu Royals fc, Trigna academy sc and Bujan Crocodiles) will be joining the remaining four teams in the Division for the new season.

The chairman highlighted some of the challenges the DFA is facing which includes infrastructure, finance, football equipments, luck of internal generated funds amongst others. He tasked all the clubs to get juvenile teams which will be registered free of charge for nurturing. He also announced we have a ladies team in the district in Division I and needs a collaborative efforts to get them in the women Premier. He concluded by thanking the MP for Sissala East, Hon Amidu Chinnia and the Tumu Kuoro for their roles in getting the DFA established in the district. The DFA will hold another Congress to determine when the Division III league will commence.
